Stretching your Imagination: Yoga and Creative Writing workshops
Saturday 18th November
At One Space, Union St, Sheffield S1 2JR
10.30-15.30 £46
Whether you’re a creative writer whose work might benefit from a mindful focus, or an experienced yogi who has always been curious about their creative potential (or, of course, someone somewhere in between) these workshops are ideal for exploring new ideas and techniques.
Workshop One: The Senses
In this workshop we’ll be focusing on the senses. As writers we will be exploring how the use of our senses can deepen our experience of reading and how we can use this to create atmosphere in our own writing.
The yoga will help to free up the body and mind in order to write. We will use different ways to physically explore the senses during our yoga practice, giving us plenty of creative inspiration to draw upon and at the end of the workshop we will finish with a lovely relaxation. Tea and biscuits will be provided.
