Pilates is brilliant for improving your posture, helping you to feel more aligned, graceful and confident in your movements. Most of the exercises are performed lying down or seated. Movements are slow, controlled and flowing. I add in stretches and pauses to help calm your mind, between exercises, lengthen your muscles and reduce lactic acid build up. Expect to walk out feeling taller, stronger and more relaxed.
This is a mat based Pilates class at High Storrs School, S11 Sheffield. The class takes place in the Activity Room, easily accessed from the sports hall entrance, closest to the large, free car park. You can guarantee a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of time for me to help you adjust the pilates exercises to suit you. I do bring several mats for people to borrow, however you might wish to bring your own mat (any basic yoga mat will do) and I recommend regulars have their own mat as it can be useful for self-practice at home!
