Pilates and Yoga in S11 Sheffield

Pilates is brilliant for improving your posture, helping you to feel more aligned, graceful and confident in your movements. Most of the exercises are performed lying down or seated. Movements are slow, controlled and flowing. I add in stretches and pauses to help calm your mind, between exercises, lengthen your muscles and reduce lactic acid build up. Expect to walk out feeling taller, stronger and more relaxed. Yoga is hatha style, slow and flowing. We begin slowly, mobilising and warming up then build up heat and energy with dynamic sequences, with a little breathing work and a short relaxation at the end. Fusion is a class that blends the two disciplines of pilates and yoga, to offer a varied dynamic, fun and slightly more challenging class.
These are group mat based classes at High Storrs School, S11 Sheffield. Each class takes place in the Activity Room, easily accessed from the sports hall entrance, closest to the large, free car park. Once inside the school, turn right then left to find the activity room. You can guarantee a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of time for me to help you adjust the pilates and yoga exercises to suit you. Please bring your own mat (any basic yoga mat will do) and I recommend regulars have their own mat as it can be useful for self-practice at home!
